Company description
D.Haigh & Co Ltd is a fourth-generation family business specialising in road surfacing and tarmacadam.
Setup in the early 1900’s by Dan Haigh the company was handed down to Stanley Haigh in the 1940’s. His son Andrew took over the business from in the 1980s and he reinvented the company from a coal merchants and farm hire to specialise in the laying of tarmacadam. In the beginning we had 2 lorries laying small private drives and footways. The company has since that time grown considerably and we now operate 6 wagons, 1 transit tipper, 2 pickups, 2 vans and a team of 12 men. The company is now managed by Andrew’s eldest son, Daniel, who is assisted in the day-to-day management and business administration by his youngest son Marc.
