The goods are excellent but delivery and tracking of orders leaves an awful lot to be desired.
I have ordered from French Click twice now plus a shared order placed by a friend.
My first order was placed just over a month ago. Because of commitments I paid a premium for next day delivery between 8.00am and 1.00pm. Bear in mind that the order contained fresh meat.
By 1.30pm the goods had not arrived so I phoned French Click to find out what was happening. The woman that answered the phone gave the impression that she didn't really care that much but the goods were on their way. No apology or concern offered.
After another attempt to phone (unanswered) at 5.10pm I had almost given up and sent a stroppy email. The goods eventually arrived at 7.10pm. When i quizzed the driver he said he had been given no indication that the goods were on 'Overnight Delivery'.
I was refunded the additional delivery costs but again not even a hint of apology.
My second order was placed this last weekend. No premium delivery paid this time.
On Monday I received confirmation of my order and saw later on the website that the goods had been dispatched on Monday. Later I received an email from Parcel Force giving me a tracking number with the added note saying that tracking would only be available as and when Parcel Force received the goods and scanned them into their system. Needless to say there was no tracking information and as of Wednesday at 9.45am still no tracking information.
I'm not sure what delivery is like South of the Border but at the moment Fife is still part of mainland UK.
In addition the friend that has ordered from French Click before told me that he had been messed around on delivery expecting it one day and it did not arrive till two days after that....
There are many organisations that offer next day delivery given a reasonable cut off time for orders and free delivery at that. especially where perishable goods are concerned French Click need to improve their game!
