Named after the founding member, Alan Haefele, “Haefele Software” was established in the UK in April 2006 (Haefele Software Ltd) and later in South Africa in 2008 (Haefele Software CC.)
From his post-graduate qualification to starting as a junior developer in 2002, Alan has been in the software industry for over 10 years – following an opportunity to the United Kingdom in 2004, it made sense to start Haefele Software in 2006 as a consultancy working with a fellow-South African software company.
By 2009, exposed to a number of projects in the UK’s retail, marketing and packaging design sector, Haefele Software had gained two very different, but equally valuable clients, Tesco Stores in the UK (a leading FMCG retailer) and Onsite Control Systems in SA (start-up mobile/online collaboration solution for the construction industry).
By 2010, building on a platform of these 2 long-term client partnerships, Haefele Software has grown a small team in both the UK and South Africa taking on new clients in both regions.
Since 2011, our teams operate together providing a joint force to both UK and SA markets – our South African clients, mostly SMEs, benefitting from internationally high-quality and professional software services at competitive rates, while our UK clients benefit from a more affordable offshore development team!
