Company description
The temperature setting of the water heater is very important since it determines how hot the water is going to be when it comes out of the tap. It can either cause scalding or a lack of warm water for use both are not desirable situations and should be avoided. To prevent the latter, there are a few things that can be done. A water heater is supposed to have different regulators for the cold and hot water supply lines. This allows them to be set at different temperatures. But sometimes, they are pre-set to a certain degree and this temperature cannot be adjusted in any way unless there is a modification of the valves or changing the temperature controller. This is because the temperature must be already set at a certain degree to avoid scalding and possible lawsuits from the customers. It will also make sure that there is enough water flow when the faucets are being used as well as preventing any rolling boil of the water in case it was left on for quite some time. The temperature setting should be placed at a little above the temperature of hot water needed for use in homes and apartments, usually around 120 degrees. There are water heaters that have timers built into them to make sure that they are only set when there is a need for hot water and will not run while there is no one at home to utilize it. This is for residences that might not need the entire volume of hot water at once. There are also some water heater models that will actually turn themselves off when they have reached maximum temperature and there is no more hot water being used to maintain it, thereby saving energy and money to make you tension free.
