I bought a ring and went to Iles Jewellers to have it engraved for my girlfriend as a suprise for her.
The lady at the counter pointed out a font she thought was best. I said I'd prefer a different font as that one was too fancy and the letters would not be legible and she seemed disgruntled by that but said it was fine, she'd tell the engraver what font I wanted.
...One week later, I go to collect it only to find that the font I specifically asked not to have, was the one they used and sure enough the K on the lettering looked like a H. I asked 8 different people what they immediately thought and every single one of them said it looks like a H not a K. I was not impressed at all. Someone did not do their job properly. Either the lady forgot to instruct the engraver about the font or they just went ahead and did it anyway. As a customer, it's nice not to be ignored.
I will have pay double now: I have to buy another ring again and probably (as I doubt they'll offer a reduced price as a goodwill gesture) pay full price all over again to have the second ring engraved in the font I asked for in the first place.
Not worthy of more than one star I'm afraid.
