- Housed in an 18th century building which was once the home of the distillery owners, Simon Clarke's welcoming modern bar and restaurant is furnished with a stylish combination of old and new, with open stonework and a fireplace giving it an old-world character in the restaurant area. As much as half of the menu could be seafood, probably including lobster and crab from nearby Rathlin Island; mainstream vegetarian dishes are also appealing although carnivores should not be disappointed either with options like steaks, pork cutlets (with Lakeshore grain mustard & thyme cream, perhaps) and braised lamb shank to choose from. The wine list includes many sourced directly at auction and sold with only a small mark up, offering excellent value. Seats 76 (outdoor seating, 5). L & D daily in summer; check openings off-season (Oct-Mar).
