Since becoming part of the Village Vet Group, the small Cottenham branch vet surgery that was part of Robin Hughes-Parry and Associates has gone from strength to strength. Robin now heads the team over at Village Vet Longstanton leaving Mardie and Zoë covering most surgeries. Alongside their duties at Village Vet Cottenham, Zoë and Mardie provide veterinary services for Wood Green Animal Shelter at their Heydon branch near Royston.
Retaining the personal touch that comes with a small village vet practice, we pride ourselves in providing an intimate, friendly, caring and compassionate service to all our clients and patients. We have in-house laboratory equipment allowing us to run routine blood tests. In addition, we have a fully equipped operating theatre for minor operations on small dogs, cats and rabbits. Any patients requiring xrays, ultrasound, dental work or major surgery are referred over to the Longstanton or Milton (Vet24) teams with whom we work closely. In addition, Zoë is trained to use Acupuncture which can benefit a range of different conditions and Mardie has a special interest in treating chickens (see http://www.thechickenvet.co.uk/ for more information).
Longstanton’s nurses provide free puppy/kitten checks, six month health checks, weight and dentistry clinics, however we can also accommodate these at Cottenham for those unable to travel. We welcome passers-by, so if you are out walking please feel free to come in and say hello. We will give your pet some fuss and a treat. We look forward to seeing you at Village Vet Cottenham.
