Horrendous. Went for shellac manicure with Rachel. I already had biosculpture gel on my nails. Clearly she want familiar with it but said it would be ok. She soaked my nails in pure acetone, but the gel didn't seem to be coming off easily so Sophie suggested filing the gel. Whenever ive had the gel taken off before they file the top layer of the gel and then soak off...but Rachel filed the gel and my nails! My nails had grown long and were v strong after a couple of months using the biosculpture gel. She filed my nails (the actual nail!!!) so much they went paper thin and split. I was absolutely gutted. She tried to cover it up by saying as if my nails were just thin and kept saying 'oh yes it's upsetting when a nail breaks isn't it' when she knew it was her fault! It was absolutely paper thin and was splitting and bending. She said she could just put shellac on top which would strengthen it up. Which was absolutely ridiculous! The nail was still coming away so I had to make her cut the bad bits right down! I had gone in there for a French manicure but that went out the window when my nails started to break. It happened to another one too. She clearly knew it was her fault but didn't say anything and tried to cover it up. I was so upset and just wanted to say to her to forget the manicure, but my nails were in such a state. The manicure itself was pretty awful. I could have done a better job myself. Even at the end i had to ask her to file two of the nails because she had left them rough and splitting. I would not recommend this salon. Rachel is very nice so you don't really want to say anything. But after paying for the manicure and having my nails thinned so much (when it had taken me so long to grow them and make them strong) ...I had to write something! And I'll be sending a complaint to the salon. I am just so gutted. My nails look and feel awful. Even with the shellac on, the longer nails are bendy :( I'm so upset with them. Please take my advice and do not go! Or if u must, ask for someone else. Rachel is a young girl who really needs more training or to know when to ask when she has a problem or admit when she's messed up. You have been warned!
